A New Hotel Madera Makes A Fresh Debut In The Heart Of Dupont Circle

Washington, D.C. – December 9, 2020 -- Hotel Madera and Firefly Kitchen & Bar announced today their reopening in January 2021 following extensive renovations. Situated in the heart of D.C.’s bustling Dupont Circle with access to many of the city’s renowned museums and cultural institutions, the newly reimagined Hotel Madera – operated by Pivot Hotels & Resorts and owned by Roch Capital Inc. – will feature 81 spacious guest rooms, 36 of which have private open-air balconies and 31 of which are 450-square-foot studio suites. The newly remodeled and open-concept Firefly Kitchen & Bar will now sit adjacent to the lobby, enticing guests with creative mixology and new American Cuisine, while serving as a refreshed social hub for locals and guests alike.

Hotel Madera will boast an intimate layout of only nine guest rooms per level, with its own still and sparkling water station conveniently located on each landing. Designed for the social and professional affluent traveler, the reinvigorated guest rooms will include mobile desks, 55-inch Smart HDTVs with integrated streaming, and Bluetooth speakers with charging ports and wireless charging capability. Hotel Madera’s design elements will use calming colors and compelling textures to incorporate the purposeful juxtaposition of whimsy and refinement, melding the classic with the unexpected to reflect the energy of surrounding Dupont Circle. Art on display throughout the hotel will feature notes of wit and creativity, which when combined with technological enhancements, address the complex, layered nature of the Hotel Madera guest.
In addition to its fresh twist on classic American fare, the beloved Firefly Kitchen & Bar will feature a monthly “Mad” signature cocktail, served in a warm and inviting environment ideal for corporate happy hours, drinks with friends, or intimate dinners. The Restaurant and Lounge will initially open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday, as well as for weekend brunch, at 25 percent capacity with potential to expand into outdoor seating for the Spring season.
Hotel Madera’s amenities include touchless check-in, a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bike, pet-friendly capabilities, and enhanced Covid guidelines and procedures for guest safety assurance.
